- The Red Rocket that Qamala gets is information that will force both the issue and the schedule. That needs to be part of the main scene too.
Hmmm.... Estradling, I think that puts the kibosh on our original ideas about a side scene. You got any other ideas? Nelle -- were we still going to write something for Q & S? From your earlier response, I'm confused (easily accomplished, I know...). Casewerker -- I guess we'll need new ideas on WHEN this scene happens. If that "red rocket" message is part of the main game file (and I bow gracefully to our GM's needs here) I'm not sure there'll be any time around that to write what we'd originally intended. Your thoughts? Maybe... Maybe not. I've been scratching my head over this all day. Though the message will force the issue and the schedule, that doesn't mean it sets one. In fact, its arrival could create more side scenes. So in that sense, simply pushing the next major scene off by one day but going ahead and letting the rocket land as a side scene along with Tillie's night mare might benefit everybody. What's about to happen to Tarid, however... Now that will most certainly have a cascade effect. So that's definately the next major scene's opening sequence. *sigh* *pout* Will you make up your mind already??

Okay... So nobody has said anything so I'm supposing you all are waiting for me to make up my mind so you can move forward. Fine! (Just kidding.) Here's the plan: - The (red rocket) message and Tillie's nigtmare will be happening tonight, as side scenes. The appropriate players will get the details in Waves in the next couple of days and they can use that info to start their side scenes on those issues.
- That means Tarid's umm... Incident won't be happening until the next night.
- Which in turn means there's a whole 25.445 (Standard) hours to play with for the scheduled side scenes and any new ones you guys want to dream up and play.
Side scenes should be listed as child pages under the current book page. Any questions? Good. Class dismissed.

"Tarid, there might be other mercenaries on Kapteyn, you know. Probably are, in fact. How do you all go about getting in contact with one another when you're on the ground?"
Yeah, about that. Hey, GM-dude. I do figure that there's some sort of network, but for some reason my brain just ain't firing on all cylinders today...

Sati might get the shock of her life, for proposing that one even in jest.

Yeah, about that. Hey, GM-dude. I do figure that there's some sort of network, but for some reason my brain just ain't firing on all cylinders today... I should imagine Tarid knows all the standard communications channels, and has memorized the code books that allow one MERC to ensure they're dealing with another MERC, regardless of which side they're on in a particular conflict. I also assume there are inter-service hospitality agreements amongst registered MERC companies as to treatment and housing of individual MERC members in good standing, whether or not they're employed by the company. Obviously, a MERC not employed by a company can't expect another company whose not involved, or who may be operating under specific contractual obligations, to under take their cause. Each company's interests, after all, are its own.

Well. Qamala got a Wave last night. (I know she wasn't the only one, check your Wave accounts if you have them) It ends with the following, which I'm sure the other characters hear as they're woken up by the racket: "Ambassador! Ambassador! Wake up!"
There was more banging. "Qamala. You have an urgent message from the Admiral. Wake up!" It was Ray's wheezing voice.
The door opens. "What is it, Ray?"
"You got your reply back. It's from Admiral Philedes and it's so high priority it set off every alarm my network's got. I'm surprised you didn't hear the racket."
A moment's pause. "I was preoccupied. You didn't crack it?" You can hear the smile in her voice. "Ray! I think I'm surprised."
He snorts. "I'd have to give a damn what's in it, to do that. And I don't. All I care about..."
His voice drifts off, then he adds "... is getting some sleep."So if you'll excuse me..."
Then you hear him retreat down the hallway. Moments later, Qamala's door opens again and she taps on another door. When she says ""Paladin. I know you're awake. This was addressed to you, too" you know why she's roaming the halls.
What, if anything, you choose to do about this is up to you of course.

Just to clarify here: I won't be opening a new full game move until the next game day (i.e. another 25 hours game time). The reason is farily simple: There isn't likely to be much (if any) coordinated group action this game day. So everyone feel free to move in and out of the various sub pages as is appropriate for your character's actions. Right now, for instance, Little Wren left a hook in her piece for the post Red Rocket confab. As good a place as any before everybody moves on to whatever they're going to do. Game on!

Woot! Well, I'm easy (*target painted HERE*) -- I like using Wave, but we might actually get Sati and Tarid involved in this too, considering.
Shall we set up a book page, then?

Works for me
*sigh* Unfortunately, we players no longer possess permission to create book pages for this game. I'd set it up so that we did, since this is a much more collaborative game than most. Apparently, I was overruled. Hang out for a bit... M's off to take advantage of our sunshine. I don't know when he'll be back at his desk.
