Wnddyar had drunk the phial of holy water. His spirit, his essence had re-mingled with the lake and revealed that which the Stormheralds had sought. A name. A face. A place. And so they returned to their world and to the underground lake in the cavern. There, to all their surprise stood Tob. Older. Five years older, in fact, as they were told time would pass. The shock and surprise, the laughter and excitement quickly faded as they saw he was alone and the sadness he wore on his normally stoney face. It was to Aislinn that he looked.

Aislinn, priestess of Mathern, sat alone, so she thought, in small inn’s common room. She stared into the fire, drinking a last cup of tea before she turned in for the night. Her thoughts flowed hither and yon. Mostly, they flowed over events of the last 25 years.

"Goddamn it. Why the hell am I doing this?" Paul muttered to no-one in particular because he was on his own and no-one else was nearby.

He was stood in the shadows leaning against a wall at the entrance to an alley way, looking out along an empty street. He'd been there a few minutes, taking a moment to catch his breath and to "survey his surroundings" or whatever they called it. Glancing down at his watch, Paul noted that it was almost 11:30 at night. He'd give it another half an hour and then "retire back to base" and into his comfortable bed.

The one-eyed man quaffed the last dregs of the bitter draft and gingerly put down the empty cup onto the oaken table in front of him, his hand shaking as he did. His fabled strength was, unfortunately, not what it used to be. Oh, his muscles still held some potency but the smaller, slower movements vexed him. Even walking posed a problem or two nowadays.

But he had to come here today. Although some might say that they would have to travel a great distance, they would be here today. He would see his beloved friends again.

It was a beautiful day. Perfect for a good hunt. Or gathering the sweet and tangy wildberry. Better yet, for marching against barbaric Human and Dolfanc who dared to encroach on the plains of the Choshu Nation. Instead, Min'Hóroniôn found himself on perimeter watch.

It was another, ordinary Thursday morning at high school and Paul was angry. His best friend, Jonas, jogged along beside him as they headed towards their next class but Paul's anger wasn't directed at him. Though, if truth be told, Jonas could often be an annoying nerd.

TDB: Testing, testing. Del Barca, checkin. Status unchanged, over.

QS: I read you, Tarid. Comm systems operational but the external cameras don't seem to be. Where are you?

TDB: On your five, Spark. Unable to acquire visual of the carrier, however. Advise, over.
